Course Fees at Jamia Millia Islamia

Reservation in Jamia Millia Islamia

JMI is recognized as a Minority Educational Institution according to Article 30(1) of the Indian Constitution, in conjunction with Section 2(g) of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Act. Due to this recognition, the University will have reservations in place, including:

30% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Muslim applicants.
10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for Women applicants who are Muslims.
10% of the total number of seats in each Program shall be earmarked for “Other Backward Classes” (OBCs) and Scheduled Tribes who are Muslims, as per the list notified by the Central Government.
5% reservation for Persons with Disabilities.
5% seats in all Undergraduate/Degree/Diploma/Certificate Programs shall be filled by internal students of Jamia who have passed their qualifying examination of the concerned programme (X or XII) from Jamia Schools as regular students.

How to Get Admission in Jamia Millia Islamia

Jamia Millia Islamia is one of the participating universities of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Instead, only few courses are mapped in CUET, and the remaining courses are filled by JMI’s own entrance tests which are conducted in the month of May – July month every year.

All courses are not mapped under CUET Score (Only few Courses). So, the aspirants must fill the application form for the admission in Jamia Millia Islamia.

To get admission in JAMIA Millia Islamia, you have to follow these stages:

Application Form

For admission in JMI, you must fill the application form. The application form releases in the month of Feb – March every year on its official website. The online application are available for a month. You will get 2-5 days extra for editing the forms after the last date.

Eligibility Criteria

For the eligibility criteria you must look into the Admission Prospectus of JMI. The minimum percentage of qualifying examinations depends on the courses. It varies from 45% to 55%. Kindly check it before filling the application for the entrance tests.

Admit Card

The availability of Admit Card will be provided through SMS on the registered mobile number or on the official website. Candidates are required to visit the portal frequently for up-to-date information. Generally, the admit cards are issued 10-20 days before the examination.

Entrance Test Centres

In 2023, there were 7 examination centers including, Delhi, Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Srinagar (J&K), Kolkata (West Bengal), Patna (Bihar), Guwahati (Assam) and Trivandrum (Kerala). The examination centres which are outside of Delhi were only for few courses like, MBA, MCA, B.Ed., MA (Eco, Psychology, Social Work, HRM & English). So, fill the form carefully and select the desired centres accordingly.

Results

The result of the entrance exams declares within 20-25 days on the official website of JMI. The last date of admission is also mentioned in the result along with the required documents. The selected candidates have to visit the department or faculty for the verification of the documents and eligibility criteria. After that, the fee slip is issued. Then, the candidates have time of 1-3 days for the fee deposit through bank branch, online mode or Demand draft.

Waiting List

Admission
